Last year's profit was about $30,000.

Harbor The Gold

Posted by: admin on Monday, June 01, 2009 - 05:51 PM
Oregon Breeding
With runners like Noosa Beach, Harbor The Gold is off to a good start at stud.

So good, in fact, we hear that during this breeding season he will cover between 70 and 80 mares. If true, that is a remarkable number given the state of the economy in general and the uncertain nature of thoroughbred racing in particular.

Harbor The Gold stands at Bar C Racing Stables in Hermiston, Oregon.

Interesting article on Frank Stronach

Posted by: admin on Saturday, May 30, 2009 - 10:45 AM
Miscellaneous
With Magna International now a majority-owning partner of General Motor's European Dvivison, the business magazine Forbes has this profile of its leader Frank Stronach:

In both Magna International and Magna Entertainment, Stronach has almost total control of the public companies because of his blocks of super-voting shares. A review of their filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission also shows that he has aggressively transferred assets among his various companies to keep his bet on the future of horse racing alive.

There's still time to book your mare to any number of Oregon stallions (see stallion roster on sidebar left)...you wouldn't want to miss out on a scene like this next year!
